Russia midfielder Yuri Zhirkov will train individually until Saturday after taking a minor blow to his leg during the national team's 5-0 drubbing of Saudi Arabia in the opening match of the FIFA World Cup on Thursday, the team's press services said Friday.
Zhirkov started for Russia against Saudi Arabia and played all 90 minutes.
"Zhirkov has a minor calf injury. Today and tomorrow he will be training according to an individual program," the press service said.
