Thanks to Rebel Sport, FTBL takes a look at the all new Melbourne City home shirt, created by Nike.
Melbourne City launched their 2017-18 home and away kits back in July at an exclusive event for 250 fans at North Melbourne’s iconic Meat Market venue.
Basically, City's new kit defines simplicity, with a plain sky blue dominating the shirt and socks, and a white trim alongside the shirt with full white shorts.
There's no doubting that the design is slick, and it will be interesting to see how it looks on the pitch when the season rolls around shortly.
With simplicity sometimes comes utter blandness, and this new Melbourne City release flirted with that danger. If it wasn't for the little touches included, we could be looking at one of the worst A-League kits of all time.
