The Australian U23s took on old foes and local rivals the New Zealand U23s at Campbelltown Stadium last night and we were on hand to catch the action for the 1-1 draw.
The match saw a few meaty challenges thrown in plus a couple of disastrous spots of chaotic Olywhites defending which the Olyroos pounced on for Lachlan Wales's early first goal, and narrowly missed out on another for a winner.
Olywhites skipper Logan Rogerson levelled the scores with a well-struck rocket in the second half to repeat the final scoreline of Friday's identical clash in Wollongong.
More friendlies for the Olyroos are expected in October and November as the youngsters crank up for their Thailand-based Olympic qualifying tournament for Tokyo 2020 in January.
