The very new look Adelaide United faced its first proper A-League opposition with a friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers at Penrith's Centrebet Stadium today. It ended 1-1 after an own goal by Nigel Boogard and a second half equaliser by new signing Sergio Ciro - but the Reds under new coach Josep Gombau look an impressive threat for the new season.
