To see the pick of our World Cup pix from Sydney...

The starting point was the FIFA fanfest at Darling Harbour. This was where many of the Socceroo faithful, young and old - rugged up for the bone-chilling cold and in the middle of the night - congregated in their thousands to get behind our boys.

Just like four years ago, these home-based fans proved, together with the thousands in South Africa, that our supporters are world class in their passion for the game.

At times it felt like the party we had ten years ago when the world joined us for the Olympics. Just imagine what it might be like if we actually get a World Cup?

But beyond Darling Harbour and action was to be had at some amazing parties organised across town by Sydney's various national communities. Their passion was extraordinary - as you'll see.

And what was even more heartening was their support for the Socceroos.

au.fourfourtwo.com would like to thank the help of the amazing Dutchdown Crew and all at Home niteclub, Wendy's Argentine crew at the Lewisham Hotel,  Mario and all at The Uruguayan Sporting and Social Club, Star City Sports Theatre and Bar, Helm Bar, The Spanish Club, The Hilton Hotel, Papa Café in Leichhardt, Café Moretti, Lowenbrau Keller, The Enmore Theatre and  FIFA fanfest.

But most of all, we'd like to thank the fantastic, unforgettable, merry, occasionally tipsy but always fun, fans.
