Chris Wondolowski opened the scoring for the MLS side on 21 minutes, only to see John Terry equaliser on the half-hour.

Frank Lampard gave Chelsea the lead in the second half, but goals from Chris Pontius and Johnson sealed the win for the All-Stars at PPL Park.

Wondolowski's goal came in fortunate fashion, side-footing home from close range after Terry's attempted clearance struck him and fell kindly.

Barely 10 minutes later, the Blues tied things up through Terry, who powered a header past Jimmy Nielsen.

The encounter opened up in the second half as Lampard put Chelsea in front on 59 minutes, tapping in a Ramires cross.

The All-Stars would not let up, though, and in the 73rd minute got back on level terms thanks to Pontius.

With seconds remaining, Johnson took a pass from Kyle Beckerman and saw his 20-yard shot deflect off David Luiz and loop into the net, leaving Ross Turnbull with no chance.

Liverpool went down 2-1 to Serie A side Roma in front of a capacity crowd at Boston's Fenway Park.

Second-half strikes from Michael Bradley and Alessandro Florenzi proved to be enough for Roma, despite a late effort from Charlie Adam.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was at the centre of most of Liverpool's attacks in the first half, and the 20-year-old almost netted a spectacular solo goal as he beat several defenders before his shot was tipped away by Bogdan Lobont.

The opening goal came 17 minutes into the second half when US international Bradley turned smartly inside the box before firing a low shot past Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones and into the bottom corner.

Roma's advantage was quickly doubled as a fine move was finished off by Florenzi, who rolled the ball into an empty net after latching onto a flick from Erik Lamela.

Ten minutes from time Adam reduced the arrears, firing in from the edge of the box after collecting a pass from Daniel Pacheco.

Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund battled past Swiss side St Gallen 2-1.

Robert Lewandowski and Kevin Grosskreutz were on the scoresheet at the AFG Arena as Juergen Klopp's men rebounded from their surprise loss to Nuremberg.

Elsewhere, Borussia Moenchengladbach came back from two goals down to beat 1860 Munich 4-2.

Moenchengladbach, who finished fourth in the German top flight last season, had a shaky start as Munich took a surprise lead after 22 minutes through Kai Bulow, and when Argentine Ismael Blanco scored after the break Munich were in total control.

Moenchengladbach were stung into action though, and Amin Younes got his side back in the game with a good touch and smart finish.

Igor de Camargo used some fancy footwork in the penalty area before curling it around the goalkeeper to get Moenchengladbach back on level terms

De Camargo gave Monchengladbach the lead for the first time on 82 minutes with a header and in the dying minutes of the match, Alexander Bieler made sure of the win with an excellent strike from outside of the box.

In other club friendlies on Wednesday, Bordeaux accounted for fellow Ligue 1 side Toulouse 2-1, while Siena defeated Lazio 1-0 in an all-Italian match.

Brest were 3-1 winners over Rennes, and Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen defeated Scottish club Aberdeen 1-0 in Oldenburg.
