Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to the first Newcastle-based A-League Grand Final, FFA has brought forward the general public sale time.

Tickets for the 2018 A-League Grand Final between Newcastle Jets and Melbourne Victory will go on sale to Football Family members at 10 am April 30, and the general public at 1pm April 30 (AEST).

The shift-forward had to occur due to quicker-than-expected ticket sales during the Jets and Victory members-sale period, with fans snapping up more than 20,000 tickets within six hours of going on sale.

“It’s fantastic that so many members of both clubs have secured approximately 20,000 tickets for the Hyundai A-League 2018 Grand Final within the first six hours of going on sale,” A-League boss, Greg O’Rourke said.

“To give all stakeholders an opportunity to purchase tickets, it is standard practice to cap the allocation of tickets during each pre-sale period.

“As a result, we have moved the on-sale times for the Football Family and General Public to give these stakeholders the opportunity to purchase tickets as well.

“Due to the unprecedented demand and the fact that this is the first time the Hyundai A-League Grand Final will be played in Newcastle we encourage anyone who wants to attend to purchase as soon as the pre-sale windows open to avoid disappointment."
