The hilarious but terrifying Win When You're Singing competition will run during Saturday night's Fox Sports' A-League Pre-Game show, Hyundai Matchday Saturday.

The show airs at 6pm (AEDT) on Fox Sports 1 & Fox Sports 1HD, and the singing competition will be judged by Ian "Dicko" Dickson - the Australian Idol identity and big Melbourne Victory fan.

Up to six A-League clubs will be involved with each putting two representatives forward in an A-League battle of the bands-style competition.

Glory's left-sided midfielder, who's been in hot form this season at Perth, has dedicated his performance to Pim Verbeek and by all accounts, his song is a show-stopper.

"It's a song with a twist. I thought I'd make him aware of who I am and hopefully he gets the message and has a bit of a laugh about it," the Glory man told au.foufourtwo.com today.

"I'm pretty confident about it. It was a lot of fun. Expect a great voice and a good performance and hopefully the first prize on the show.

"Fingers crossed because I haven't seen the opposition sing."

Sekulovski goes one step further and suggests a duet with him and Verbeek could be a ratings winner and has sent out this challenge to TV producers: "I'd love to do a duet with him.

"If me and Pim get together I might even bring out the bongos for that."

Verbeek famously belted out a version of the Advance Australia Fair on Fox Sports after the Socceroos qualified for South Africa 2010, giving Naum hope his drea may come true.

Sekulovski goes head to head with Sydney FC flier Shannon Cole who also does a version of his near-namesake Shannon Noll's chart-topper - albeit it into a water bottle instead of a microphone.

However Cole's team-mate Rhyan Grant is said to have stolen the show with his rap of Tik Tok by Keiisha.

On Saturday, each of the players gets one song, and a panel of expert judges featuring Dicko, Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater will give them either a tick or a cross for their performance. The club with the most ticks at the end of the show is declared winner.

Dicko has also promised to "really let them have it" if their performances aren't up to scratch.

Others confirmed for the sing-off are Adelaide's Travis Dodd and Lloyd Owusu. Sydney are said to be gutted Kofi Danning was unavailable, recovering from his knee injury in Canberra, as they were confident he would have given them the edge.

Gold Coast's Michael Thwaite and Scott Higgins will step up to the microphone too while the Mariners will also front up and show what the Coast has to offer.

However while only the bravest viewers may tune in, Melbourne Victory players apparently lacked the courage to join in. A camera crew took a trip along to their training session yesterday...but no-one stepped up to the mic.

The Pre-Game show Hyundai Matchday Saturday will also have all the team news and latest from Etihad ahead of the Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory clash. Later in the night they'll cross to Suncorp ahead of Brisbane Roar v Newcastle Jets.

And former Liverpool player Jason McAteer will join the show pitchside from the Britannia Stadium ahead of Stoke v Liverpool game.
