Nine-year-old Huddersfield fan Adam Bhana posted just over $8 to Terriers' star Aaron Mooy after the Australian's man-of-the-match performance against Manchester United.
As a result, Adam was invited to the club's training ground as a guest of honour, to meet his hero and gain a heartfelt thank you from the Huddersfield midfielder.
'The Pasty Pirlo' seemed impressed with the young boy, as he told the club website.
"It was great to receive such a fantastic letter, he clearly has fantastic values and it was really great to finally meet him," Mooy said.
"Adam was a really nice lad and is a real credit to his family."
Mooy now has two goals and an assist in eight games for his debut Premier League season, and is one of the league leaders in tackles.
