Winning goalscorer Johan Absalonsen expressed pride in Adelaide United after they came from a goal down to stun Brisbane Roar 2-1 in a late four-minute flurry at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
Brisbane Roar took the lead on eight minutes through veteran Massimo Maccarone but were overtaken by two sensational late strikes from Ryan Kitto and Absalonsen
Roar known for their last gasp winners were handed a different script and had to play second fiddle to Adelaide who ran over the top of them.
For the Reds it was the second match in a row they have come from a goal down and Absalonsen who was dangerous throughout said it spoke of the team's mentality.

The Dane, who has proved a handy pick-up for the Reds with two goals from two games said he was loving the A-League: "It’s perfect. I love the weather I love the football here."
He added: "When we came out in the second half we were the best team.
"It was a deserved win but also a very important performance from the team."
It has been a tough start for the Reds with two opening matches on the road, including a 1-1 draw with Wellington Phoenix.
"It’s always hard to have two matches on the road but we’ve got four points now and that’s a performance we can really be proud of," he said
New Coach Marco Kurz has implemented an arduous physical regime at the club and despite the short turnaround the Reds' fitness told in the end.
They dominated after Ropened the scoring and finally got their reward when two subs combined.
Baba Diawara kicked the ball to Kitto inside the box, and the 23-year-old fired in a rocket that goalkeeper Theo couldn't contain.
Two minutes into stoppage time, Daniel Adlung steered the ball to Absalonsen, and the Dane fired it off the inside of the crossbar and into goal for the winner.
Man of the Match and Reds Captain Isaias said the team showed they could "win in the last minutes".
"The new signings are making a difference and I’m really happy with them," he said.
