Striker Han Peng scored twice as Chinese Super League champions Shandong Luneng hammered Vietnamese side Dong Tam Long An to move five points clear at the top of Group G.

Han gave the home side the lead three minutes before the break and extended the advantage with his second of the game early in the second half.

Wang Yongpo and Li Jinyu also found the net against the hapless Vietnamese side, who were reduced to 10 men in the closing minutes when skipper Phan Van Giau was sent off following a reckless challenge on Cui Peng.

Shandong dominated the game but struggled to find a way past giant Brazilian goalkeeper Santos in the opening half.

However, their pressure finally paid-off in the 42nd minute when Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Zivkovic lofted a through pass to Cui, who cut the ball back to the centre where an unmarked Han easily slotted home the opening goal.

Han was on hand again to extend Shandong's lead in the 52nd minute.

A cross by Cui was met by the head of Li Jinyu, forcing an excellent save out of Santos. However, the ball went to a lurking Han, who planted his header past a pair of Dong Tam defenders on the line.

It was 3-0 two minutes later as Li laid off the ball to an unmarked Wang, who took advantage of confusion in the Dong Tam box to fire the ball home.

Having helped to set up two goals, Li found the net himself on 74 minutes as he glanced home an excellent diving header from Zivkovic's corner to make it 4-0.

Kabanga Tshamala forced a good save from Shandong goalkeeper Li Leilei in the closing minutes, but Dong Tam would end the match with only 10 players when Phan was sent off four minutes from time after receiving a second yellow card for a reckless high challenge on Cui.
