Nagoya Grampus' flagging Asian Champions League campaign received a much-needed boost with a comfortable 4-0 victory over 10-man Al Ain at Mizuho Athletic Stadium.
Mu Kanazaki scored twice in a game re-arranged from March 15 due to last month's devastating earthquake in Japan as Dragan Stojkovic's side picked up their first win of the campaign.
The result lifted the J.League champions alongside Hangzhou Greentown on four points in Group F, three behind leaders FC Seoul. Al Ain stayed bottom with just a draw to show for their efforts from three games.
Nagoya went in front after 27 minutes when Josh Kennedy crossed for Kanazaki to fire home before he doubled both his and his side's tally in first-half stoppage time by nodding home Shohei Abe's cross.
Brahima Keita put through his own net just after the hour mark when attempting to clear Takahiro Masukawa's effort before defender Fares Al Saadi was dismissed in the 76th minute for bringing down Jungo Fujimoto just outside the box.
The midfielder picked himself up to despatch the resulting free-kick left-footed into the bottom corner for Nagoya's fourth goal.
