ADELAIDE United has condemned the behaviour of a group of spectators after 10 arrests were made following Friday's 1-0 win over rivals Melbourne Victory.
Friday's match was attended by a sell-out crowd of 14,573 people at Hindmarsh Stadium however a group clashed with police following the game.
It has been reported that 100 police an unruly group of Reds' fans ran riot on the streets outside stadium
South Australian police said that there were 10 arrests for various offences.
A club statement read: "The Adelaide United Football Club does not condone violent or disruptive behaviour from fans at any time.
"(The club) supports the police in their efforts to control any unduly behaviour to ensure the safety of all patrons heading to and from the game."
A flare was set off during the game and Reds management told the Adelaide Advertiser that sort of behaviour wasn't acceptable.
Reds chairman Greg Griffin said: "There's no reason for any supporter to bring a flare to a game and a very, very small minority don't seem to understand that. We will work quietly and efficiently to prevent it from happening."
