Adelaide United have flipped on their decision to withdraw players from the upcoming Olyroos tournament.
Reds CEO Grant Mayer confirmed the news on social media on Thursday evening, after a strong fallout with widespread criticism including from ex-United player Bruce Djite.
Adelaide chairman Greg Griffin had revealed to the Adelaide Advertiser on Wednesday that the club wouldn't be releasing their players selected in the AFC Under-23 qualifiers in Myanmar later this month.
The decision emerged after Adelaide general manager of football Ante Kovacevic labelled the tournament as "mickey mouse" after players outside of the 2020 Olympics age range were selected.
However, Mayer tweeted that the decision had been overturned, saying it was "the right outcome for all".
Decision reached. All @AdelaideUnited players free to join U'23 camp. Club worked closely with @thepfa on getting the right outcome for all.

The players are due to fly out for the Olyroos camp on Friday, with the decision enabling the Adelaide group to join.
Riley McGree (who is set to join Club Brugge), Paul Izzo, Ben Warland and Jordan O’Doherty are the current Reds players in the squad, while Olyroo George Blackwood is also on the verge of joining Adelaide.
Adelaide's original decision had been met with widespread criticism on social media, including from former United striker Djite.
I cannot comprehend that my beloved @AdelaideUnited would deny such quality young players the chance to represent their country @FFA #Scary https://t.co/x9wjdnBWmX
