ADELAIDE United’s Asian Champions League campaign has been given a huge boost with the news that Brisbane Roar goal machine Sergio van Dijk has signed for their Asian campaign.
Goal scoring has been a huge problem for the Reds this A-League season but the arrival of the classy Dutchman should go a long way to solving that problem at Hindmarsh.
Van Dijk's signature comes after the club also signed midfielders Socceroo Adam Griffiths and Argentine Marco Flores to further strengthen the club ahead of their third Asian adventure.
He is understood to have signed a six month contract with an option to extend his stay at the Reds at the end of that stint.
The Reds take on reigning ACL champions Pohang Steelers later this month in Adelaide.
