Adelaide United boss Glenn Dods admits the club are anxiously waiting for striker Bruce Djite to sign a new contract.
The 20-year-old played a key role in his side`s qualification for the AFC Champions League, and along with Jason Spagnuolo, Bobby Petta and Dez Giraldi, has been locked in contract talks for the last month.
"Bruce has a contract sitting in front of him but doesn't rush his decisions which I respect," Dods has revealed.
"We thought his first starting performance against Shandong Luneng last week was very mature.
"We think he has a lot to offer the club."
Meanwhile, Chinese international striker Qu Shengqing is set to be released by the club.
Qu, who joined the A-League side in April 2005 from Shanghai Shenhua, has not played since sustaining an ankle injury in December last year.
