Adelaide United coach Marco Kurz has confirmed his side are fully fit for Sunday’s elimination final against Melbourne Victory except for Dzengis Cavusevic.
The Reds have battled injuries throughout the 2017/18 A-League season with the likes of Johan Absalonsen, Vince Lia, Ersan Gulum, Taylor Regan, Tarek Elrich and Baba Diawara sidelined for long periods.
United were also without young trio Paul Izzo, George Blackwood and Ben Garuccio in January after call-ups for the AFC Under-23 Championships.
However, United now have a relatively clean bill of health at the right time of the season.
“We have a full squad,” Kurz said.
“It’s not been easy when the Under-23 players were away. In this time we were without three starters in our team.
“Now we’re ready. I cannot say Baba or Johan are for sure 100 per cent fit as when they play 20 games in a row but it looks good.
“It’s only one or more games. We’re in good shape. We believe and very importantly we’re brave in our quality.
“The experience is on the side with Victory but if we’re brave I’m sure we’ll have a good chance.”
Kurz highlighted Victory’s forward line and finals experience as the big dangers for his side.
“For me the most quality is the experience from the team,” the German said.
“They know how to play finals.
“Their offensive line, with Berisha, George, Barbarouses and Troisi, they are very good.
“To eliminate these four players then we have a chance. If we let them play, they could kill us.”
