Early team news from Hindmarsh ahead of kick off sees Nathan Burns into the starting line up at the expense of the suspended Jonas Salley.

Sasa Ognenovski is back in training following the death of his father but has not made the team. Neither has Alvin Ceccoli who has just become a dad and is yet to arrive in Adelaide after his stint with the Mariners.

Diego came agonisingly close to a wonderful winner but for the most part United lacked the killer touch in the final third. HALF-TIME No goals at the interval and it is the visitors who have looked the more dangerous outfit in the final third. They started very, very brightly and Adelaide had to soak up the pressure. When Vidmar's men did get forward the final delivery was disappointing with the Reds lacking any real punch to threaten the Chanchung goal.
