Daniel Adlung has excelled for Adelaide United under Marco Kurz, becoming an electric part of the Reds' dynamic midfield and free flowing attack.

He believes there's something special about his side after Kurz's men pulled off one of the comebacks of the season, salvaging a 2-2 draw from two behind with just 10 men.

"We tried to play our game and in the half time we said, 'We have to come back. We have a big chance'," Adlung said.

"Then we concede a second goal but we always believed in our quality and today was good in the end.

"We had a lot of comebacks this season, but this game was really hard because the pitch wasn't the best and we are for almost the whole game one man down.

"So compliments to the boys and I think we deserved the point."

The draw leaves Adelaide fourth, four points adrift of Melbourne City, with a home-final within their sights if they can build momentum approaching the tailend of the season.
