The Poland international netted a double in the win as Sydney moved 11 points clear at the summit.

Sydney only returned to the Harbour City late in the week after Wednesday's 2-2 draw in the AFC Champions League in China against Shanghai Shenhua.

"I read in the news maybe we'll be tired but we're ready physically to play two or three games in a row," Mierzejewski told Fox Sports.

"We have 20 players ready to play. We're ready for the next game."

Sunday's derby was played in consistent rain at Allianz Stadium and Mierzejewski acknowledged the standard of play was affected.

"It was a good game. It was not perfect," he said.

"It was good that we were in China where for four days it was raining. It was not a bad game."

He added: "Everything is going well. I'm a little bit disappointed after the draw in Shanghai.

"I felt we deserved all three points. Now we want to win the premiership as soon as possible and focus on the Asian Champions League, because I believe we can reach the next round."
