ADRIANO is confident he can help Roma win the Serie A title this season.
The Brazilian striker arrived in Rome today to begin pre-season training with his new club.
"I am just a bit tired because of the trip," said Adriano. "But I feel ready.
"I have worked hard in Brazil in order to recover my condition and lose weight.
"Now I am really looking forward to train and help Roma.
"I think we can compete for the Scudetto."
Serie A runners-up Roma had been looking for a striker since letting Bayern Munich forward Luca Toni leave without offering him a permanent deal to stay in the Eternal City.
Adriano, 28, signed a three-year contract with the Eternal City outfit last month as a free agent having previously played back in his home country for Flamengo.
Adriano returns to Italy's top flight 15 months after terminating his contract with Inter Milan.
