DICK Advocaat has agreed to the Belgian Football Association's request to take over as Belgium coach three months early.
The former Holland coach, who was sacked by Zenit St Petersburg last month, was initially supposed to step into the post next January but will now be in charge for their World Cup qualifier against Turkey on October 10.
The Belgian FA made the request after interim boss Frank Vercauteren stepped down last week in the wake of the 2-1 defeat to Armenia which ended their hopes of reaching the finals in South Africa.
