Gabriel Agbonlahor wants Aston Villa to use their Capital One Cup win over Swindon as a springboard to climbing the Premier League table.
Villa posted a 3-2 victory against League One side Swindon on Tuesday to reach the quarter-final stage of the competition.
However, with Paul Lambert's side just two points clear of the relegation zone, forward Agbonlahor has underlined the importance of improving in the league.
"Hopefully this win will give us some confidence but we're not thinking of Wembley right now," Agbonlahor told reporters.
"We've got a lot of young players. Everyone is gelling together, and a cup run can lift spirits.
"We hadn't won for a few games and that Swindon win will give us a boost. Hopefully we can take that into the Sunderland game."
