Striker Sergio Aguero is still confident Manchester City can progress to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.
After struggling to just two points from four games so far, Roberto Mancini's men are bottom of Group D and must beat Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to have any chance of qualification.
However, the 24-year-old striker has suggested while there is still a chance of qualification, the club should remain positive and believe it will happen.
"We should never give up," he told the club's official website.
"Where there's a will, there's a way, right? Of course, it's harder now because we’re not just relying on ourselves but also on the other teams' results."
Despite leading the Premier League with 28 points from 12 games, the champions have stumbled in Europe with nine goals conceded in four games putting a massive dent in their hopes of European glory.
But the Argentine forward believes the club's fans deserve everything from the players, and has promised to put his all in to securing a place in the last 16 for them.
"What we mustn't do is leave the pitch with any regrets and be content knowing that we have given our all," he added.
"This club deserves nothing less and our supporters deserve as much, too."
City host Madrid on Wednesday, before travelling to Dortmund for their final match of the group stages on December 4.
