QATAR league defending champions Al Gharafa made it through to the final of this year's Qatar Stars Cup as they defeated Al Siliya 3-2 in their semi-final.
Al Siliya took a quick lead in the game as they opened the scoring after eight minutes through Brazilian midfielder Roger Flores but their lead lasted three minutes only as another Brazilian - defender Alexander Souza - scored an own goal.
Al Gharafa took the lead two minutes after the hour mark through Iraqi striker Younis Mahmoud before Flores levelled on 78 minutes.
However, Al Gharafa scored the winner six minutes from time through Brazilian striker Clemerson de Araujo who converted a penalty as Al Gharafa went through to the final where they will meet Al Ahli who defeated Al Arabi 2-1.
Al Arabi took the lead through Ali Mijbel on 72 minutes two minutes before Julio Cesar equalised for Al Ahli who scored the winner in the second minute of extra time through Meshal Abdullah.
