UAE outfit Al Nasr have denied rumours claiming Socceroos midfielder Mark Bresciano wants to leave the club.
Speculation had mounted over the weekend that the 32-year-old Australian's lawyer had sent the club a letter requesting they terminate his contract, with the player said to be willing to pay a penalty clause to effect the release.
Bresciano had also been spotted at Melbourne Heart training earlier this week too, prompting talk of a possible move.
However, Al Nasr made a statement denying the existence of any letter regarding his departure from the club.
“There is no truth to the story. It’s just pure imagination,” said Al Nasr board of directors members Abdullah Al Bannai.
“As far as we are concerned, Mark Bresciano is an Al Nasr player and we are waiting for him to return from his vacation and join us for the preseason camp.”
