After demolishing Melbourne Victory 6-1 to earn a spot in the A-League Grand Final, some pundits have been asking the big question – have they timed their run wrong and hit top gear too early?

Sky Blues striker Adam Le Fondre has no doubts that Sydney have more to give on Sunday.

The English striker netted 18 times this season and scored in each of the three games Sydney played against Perth this season, including the winner in the 1-0 round 26 win.

“There is still more for us to come,” he told FTBL. “We’ve shown this season that we have been working on our attacking and it came together against Melbourne. Obviously we’ve got to go again against Perth.

“There is no point winning the semi-final and getting beaten at the big dance because that is the be all and end all – winning the trophy.”

One of Sydney ‘s biggest threats on Sunday will be Perth’s midfield ‘El Maestro’ Diego Castro. He feels Glory has nothing to fear from the Sky Blues despite their run of form heading into Sunday’s decider.

“No, for us the biggest and toughest game this season was when we played Sydney here and beat them,” he told FTBL

“That made us strong as we learned a lot from that experience. We respect them a lot but we play at our house, in front of our own fans and we are looking forward to that and I can’t wait to play in the final.”

Castro added: “I am ready to play and to perform well, we will try and recover our legs after the semi-final win over Adelaide in extra-time and we are ready to play.

"We have to see what happens whether we win or not. In my country it’s unlucky to think about the celebrations before you get the trophy but we are all looking forward as a team to play in the Grand Final.”

Meanwhile Milos Ninkovic believes it isn’t the Sky Blues form that Perth should fear, but their record in their three previous meetings against Sydney this season.

“I don’t think so, because, we played three times against Perth this season and we beat them twice,” he said.

“There are no secrets between us because we have played against each other so many times.

“They know that they will play against a very good team, we know that we will play against a very good team and it’s going to be a very interesting game.”
