The Portuguese forward has established himself as a mainstay at Upton Park, helping Allardyce's men to a top-half finish last season.

Vaz Te scored three goals in 28 appearances for West Ham in 2012-13, and Cardiff have reportedly identified the 26-year-old as a target as they aim to secure survival in their firstseason in the Premier League.

However, Allardyce - who has strengthened his side in the close-season with the signings of Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing - revealed that there has been no approach for Vaz Te from the Welsh side.

"There's no official bid from Cardiff for Ricardo Vaz Te," he said.

"It always happens at this time of year - it's just agents getting busy."

An injury to Carroll has left West Ham - linked with a move for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella - short of depth in attack, but Allardyce will not be making any further ventures into the transfer market.

"I've got no more money left, so the squad I've got is the squad I've got," he added.
