Roar are coming off the back of a 3-2 loss to Melbourne Victory but a win on Saturday would solidify the club’s position in the top four.

Aloisi expects a tough battle from the Nix which will be carrying momentum from their 1-0 victory over the Mariners.

“If we go over to Wellington and think that just our football will win us the game then it’s not going to happen,” Aloisi said.

“You have to make sure you’re up for the battle and if you do that then there’s a good chance of getting a win.”

Brisbane’s recent results have been disappointing but Aloisi believes Roar will soon re-join the winners’ list if the side believe in themselves and perform at a high level.

“The boys are disappointed with the results in the last three weeks but the performances have been very good, we just need to turn them into results and we’re confident that we can,” he said.

“Everyone is confident still, we have a tough game this weekend but we believe that we can go there, perform well and get the result."

A win would provide a timely boost for Brisbane ahead of a busy upcoming schedule which includes AFC Asian Champions League qualifying games.

“Everyone has shown that they want to play this week and I’ll play who I believe will win this football game but also with an eye on the upcoming weeks,” Aloisi said.

“Results can change the momentum of the season and it’s good to have most of the squad fit and ready ahead of the schedule.”
