Head Coach John Aloisi says Roar's jam-packed schedule has provided a great opportunity for the players to step up.

“Whenever a player is out we’re disappointed but it’s an opportunity for someone else. We feel that we have players who can come in and do the job,” Aloisi said.

“We have Matt McKay and Thomas Kristensen coming back in and we’ll put out a really good side tomorrow."

The fixture will also mark Vice-Captain and key defender Jade North’s 100th A-League match for the club, a milestone only reached by 10 players before him.

And Aloisi is backing his side to replicate their strong finish to the 2015-16 A-League season, with four of the last seven matches to be played at home.

“We always want to win and if we keep performing like we have in recent weeks then the results will come,” Aloisi said.

“We had a strong finish to last season and we have a lot of home games in the last bit of the season.”

Roar won their only meeting this season against the Phoenix with the side claiming a 1-0 victory at Westpac Stadium in January.

Despite holding an strong home record against the Phoenix (W11, D2, L1), the side will need to be wary of the attacking threat the Wellington-based team pose.
