SYDNEY FC marquee striker John Aloisi insists it is far too soon to label table-topping new boys Gold Coast United as favourites for the A-League crown.
Miron Bleiberg's men regained top spot from Sydney with Saturday's 2-1 win at Skilled Park - ending Sydney's unbeaten start in the process.
But Aloisi believes talk of titles at this stage is far, far too premature and the marquee striker insists that anyone can win it - inclusing bottom side North Queensland Fury.
"If they're premiership favourites now, I don't know, I think even the bottom side (North Queensland Fury) can win," Aloisi told AAP.
Aloisi believes every team in the competition will still be thinking of grand final glory at this early stage of proceedings.
He added: "You can't say that Gold Coast are favourites at the moment. They've had a good start, so did we, but one loss and you're back in it.
"I don't think there's any favourites at the moment."
Sydney will look to bounce back when they entertain Robbie Fowler and North Queensland Fury at the SFS on Saturday night.
