Roar captain Matt McKay was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 66th minute of his 200th A-League game, before Victory took the lead through Mitch Austin.

Luke DeVere rescued a point for Brisbane with a strike deep into stoppage-time, but Aloisi bemoaned Evans’ display.

“In my opinion the referee was not good enough tonight and he’s a professional referee,” Aloisi told Fox Sports.

“I’m only saying my opinion, I was disappointed with his display tonight.”

The Roar coach was particularly frustrated with Evans’ decisions for McKay’s two bookings.

“First of all, the McKay yellow card in the first half, the guy is 5’2,” Aloisi said.

“He’s gone up for the ball, clearly won the ball, he has to jump with his arms up, they’ve given him a yellow card, it wasn’t even a free-kick in my opinion.

“The second yellow card there was a little bit of tugging from both players.

“It changes the game.”

Aloisi insisted Roar were the better side throughout and deserved all three points.

“We’re still upset because we thought we were by far the better team, other than the  first 10 minutes which we knew Victory would come hard,” he said.

“After that we completely dominated, I don’t even think they had a chance after that.

“We were disappointed that we didn’t come away with three ponts but we showed again our character and that we’re a side that will go right through to the end.”

DeVere marked his return to A-League action with the equalizer, after almost 18 months out with injury.

“It’s been a long time coming,” DeVere told Fox Sports.

“I’m thrilled to be back playing with the boys. We battled hard when Matty went off.

“The boys always dig deep and we managed to grab a goal at the end there, which this team has done time and time again.

“Any team that comes up here is going to be worried about us especially late on.”
