Aloisi has been working hard in training but a club official confirmed to au.fourfourtwo.com the Australian international is just short of full fitness.

He said: "John will be there at Blacktown with the team to sign autographs but I don't think he will play."

Aloisi is now free of injury niggles but will be given more time to boost his levels in training before being unleashed in a game situation.

Supporters are expected to get their first glimpse of fellow new boys Simon Colosimo and Mitchell Prentice though but striker Mark Bridge and midfielder Stuart Musialik are away in Darwin on Olyroo duty.

Mike Enfield, back from the injury that wrecked his first season for Sydney FC, also has a niggle and is unlikely to be risked.

This evening's game will see several Youth League hopefuls given a run out for Blacktown with three of Sydney FC's Football Superstar contestants also expected to feature.

The game kicks off at 7pm with entry $5 for adults with children under 16 free.

Sydney's next match will be against Sutherland next Thursday (July 3) at Seymour Shaw Park, 7.30pm.
