Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi wants to stay at the club but won't re-sign until he's satisfied they won’t experience another off-season of turmoil.
The Queensland club have been beset by ownership and off-field issues throughout Aloisi’s time, having been instilled as coach in May 2015.
Uncertainty remains around the club which is still owned by the Bakrie Group but has new management in the form of current CEO Mark Kingsman.
Aloisi is out of contract at the end of the 2016/17 season and has become hot property given the on-field success he’s achieved at Brisbane despite their off-field issues.
“Do I want to go through what we’ve been through the last two pre-seasons? No,” Aloisi said.
“They’re the discussions that we’re having. I want to make sure that the club is going to head in the right direction because I want to be part of that.
“It’s unfair for everyone involved if that’s going to be the case that we go through those situations again.
"I'm confident that I’ll be staying here and I want to stay."
