The Tuttosport newspaper has already reported the Brazil-born star is set to be given an Italian passport next month which would make him available for the Azzurri in a friendly against the five-time World Cup winners at the Emirates Stadium on February 10.

The 28-year-old, though, has set his sights on winning a call from Brazil coach Dunga.

"If Dunga calls me, I would not say 'no' at all. I am Brazilian and my first thoughts are representing my country," Amauri told GazetaEsportiva.net.

"I know it is difficult. Making the national team is not easy at all. You have to fight hard.

"There are a lot of big players ahead of me who have been playing for the national team for years and are part of Dunga's plan for two years.

"To get there, I must go on doing what I am doing - playing well and scoring and goals."

Amauri's wife Cynthia is apparently close to being granted Italian citizenship, which the player would automatically get as well.

And the striker admitted the Italian media are pressuring him to make a decision on his international future.

"I am not influenced by pressure but it exists," he added. "Anyway, I try not to think about it.

"My family back me. Any decision I make, they will be by my side. The more you think about this, the less you decide.

"I am only focused on what I am doing and then we'll see what finally happens. We'll see if I will have a chance in the Brazil national team."

But Amauri would not rule out playing for the world champions, adding: "I am a man who enjoys my family, kids and my wife. We've been together for almost 10 years and we see that I have the possibility to change my destiny and maybe reach the Italy national team."

Amauri started his professional career with Swiss side Bellinzona and has also played for Napoli, Chievo and Palermo.

He joined Juventus from Palermo for 13.5million euros earlier this year.
