Mustafa Amini was the Player of the Match overnight as AGF staved off relegation with a 1-0 win over Viborg in the Danish Superliga.
The narrow win clinched a 3-2 aggregate victory in the Danish relegation round, securing AGF’s status in the top flight for another season.
Amini, who put in a full shift, was named Player of the Match afterwards.
The win ends Amini’s maiden season with AGF where he made 37 appearances in all competitions and earned his Socceroos debut.
Elsewhere, Awer Mabil was a 71st minute substitute as Esbjerg were relegated with a 3-2 loss to Horsens sealing a 4-3 aggregate loss.
Mabil is on loan at Esbjerg from parent club Midtjylland who are in the European play-offs.
