It was just Margush’s second A-League game after getting his chance in January 2016 in a 3-1 win over Central Coast Mariners and pulled off some good saves in the side’s 2-1 loss to Melbourne Victory on Saturday night.

It came after Eugene Galekovic accumulated a shoulder injury in the Central Coast Mariners 2-1 loss and Amor opted to go with Margush over 22-year-old goalkeeper John Hall who played the previous four games since replacing the No.1 in Canberra.

The Barcelona legend said he had faith in all glovemen and was pleased with Margush.

“John played the other day, the last games were good,” Amor said.

“Two young players, goalkeepers are good, can play one or the other. It’s the same, the important thing is we have the confidence with both. Daniel, today showed he is prepared to play in the A-League.”

Amor also praised his side for the courage they showed against powerhouse Victory and felt they could have got more out of it.

“Most important thing in football is always the present, the future is far,” he said.

“Most important is today, the games today, the next game on Wednesday in China and it’s this. We need a good result, a point and it’s true we work a lot for this and we try every day in every training session and game but it doesn’t arrive.

“I think today the game was good, for me we played very good and did we deserve a better result or not? I think sometimes, yes. We deserve good results but it doesn’t arrive.”

The Reds travel to China tomorrow to meet Jiangsu Suning in the AFC Asian Champions League on Wednesday.
