The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee tonight reserved their ruling as to whether an additional penalty should be applied above the mandatory one match suspension Amor served on Saturday.

The former Barcelona great was forced to watch from the stands as the Reds kept their first clean sheet of the campaign in a goalless draw against league leaders Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium.

The usually mild-mannered  Spaniard found hiimself in hot water and was sent to the stands following Adelaide's 3-1 loss to Perth Glory in Round 7.

Amor was visibly aggrieved when Glory were awarded a goal which saw goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic knocked to the ground in the build-up. As well as taking part in a verbal joust it is understood the 48-year-old grabbed the fourth official.

Football Federation Australia released a statement tonight saying the independent Disciplinary and Ethics Committee "convened to consider an incident referred to it, which arose in or around the 68th minute" of the match at nib Stadium.
 
"As the coach was expelled from the match by the Referee, the Match Review Panel (MRP) considered the incident on Monday, 21 November 2016

"The MRP regarded the incident constituting unsporting conduct towards a match official and referred the incident to the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee for hearing regarding what additional sanction should apply, if any, over and above the mandatory match suspension.

"The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee tonight reserved their determination."
