Adelaide United coach Guillermo Amor says he needs to concentrate on the now otherwise his speculated future at the Reds will be non-existent should the club fail to make the finals this season.
The Barcelona legend is not short of charm and class, but stated he needed to focus one game at a time after speculation the Spaniard would depart the club at the end of the season.
Brothers John and Ross Aloisi, who are currently at Brisbane Roar have been linked to their home town for next season.
The Roar head coach denied any truth to the speculation, however Amor said he had not given it any thought after his side were thrashed 4-0 by Aloisi’s team away on Sunday.
“I think about tomorrow and the next game because if we lose, I lose and it’ll be impossible to stay here, it’s impossible,” Amor said after 4-0 loss.
“I don’t think about next year or Christmas… no, it’s true, these things. I’m thinking of next training, to be with the group and to prepare the next game to win, the next game and the next game.

“I don’t think about next year, I understand people speak. It’s our job, I understand, but it’s not true.
“The situation now is I’m coaching here, my job is to recover the situation as soon as possible, we want to win quickly and now it’s to recover with the players and to prepare them for Newcastle, to win and these are my thoughts.”
United edged the possession stats against the Roar and had 12 shots to eight in the shellacking at Suncorp.
Adelaide has now lost six games this season and sit on just one win with midweek AFC Asian Champions League games to come in February.
Amor said he accepted losing games this season, but the margin against the Roar was simply unacceptable.
“These things are complicated, it’s football and we know but the 4-0… I repeat it’s too much, the result, we can lose but 4-0 for me is too much after the game,” he said.
“We controlled the numbers and statistics, sometimes it’s not the most important. Sometimes you don’t have the ball and you win 1-0, but we prefer this numbers if possible and it’s a positive for us.
“The game wasn’t bad, we play a good game and the result we know is negative, but the team was good. In moments we controlled (the game) well.
“The players I think gave everything and you saw in some moments it would’ve been possible to change the game.”
United meet Newcastle Jets away next Friday night.
