Adelaide United coach Guillermo Amor will not be making a conscious effort to speak to referee Adam Fielding in Saturday night’s clash with Melbourne Victory.
Amor was sent to the stands in the Round Seven 3-1 loss to Perth Glory where referee Jarred Gillett was in charge.
The Barcelona legend remonstrated with fourth official Fielding which saw him suspended for two games.
Now Fielding will be in charge of Saturday's clash against Victory with an emotional Amor saying he would rather concentrate on the game.
“I don’t speak with the referees, not with any of the others. I prefer I don’t say anything,” Amor said.
“I don’t understand the situation, but it’s this and I served two games. I have my thoughts, but they’re for me.”
The task on-field will be challenging for the Reds as Victory are flying high and look to catch table-topping Sydney FC.
The first encounter between the two teams ended in a 2-1 win to Victory away from home with Amor feeling the result was unjust.
He also ruled out Marcelo Carrusca and Iacopo La Rocca who are still recovering from injury.
“First game (against Victory), I showed them on Thursday that they played very well,” he said.
“Normally it’s three points, normally in Adelaide but in the last minute, last action, we lose the game.
“But this is football, it’s possible if we repeat the same game, we win on Saturday… we win on Saturday.”
Reds captain Eugene Galekovic was getting sick of the “turning point” hypotheticals and felt if his squad was not 100 per cent, they will lose.
United’s only win this season came was a 2-0 victory at home in the beginning of December.
“We have to turn up.. if we don’t turn up we’ll get done,” Galekovic said.
“(We’ve) been saying that (win will be turning point) the last six-seven weeks, the aim is to win every game. Six weeks ago it was the same message.
“It’s always good to have a quiet day for a goalkeeper and that’s my job to prepare the team in front of me.
“Defensively they don’t concede many goals, but up front they’re dangerous as well. Their front four can pop up and win the game for them.”
