PSG finished runners-up to Montpellier last season but have added a host of stars to their squad ahead of this campaign.

Despite spending 150 million Euros on Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Brazil defender Thiago Silva and 19-year-old midfielder Lucas, Ancelotti is wary of his rival teams.

"Lille lost (Eden) Hazard but they replaced him with an experienced player in (Salomon) Kalou," he said.

"I think they could have a good season, just like Marseille. After their season last year, I see them coming back and being competitive again.

"The same applies for Lyon and, of course, Montpellier who are the champions. They have not changed a lot.

"For sure, (Olivier) Giroud was an important player. But their new striker - Emanuel Herrera is a strong replacement."

With arguably the most talented squad in French football, Ancelotti is aware of the pressure building on his side and the former Chelsea coach hopes they to deliver their first title since 1994.

"I think that PSG have worked hard in order to buy the right players. In these conditions, it is normal that everyone is speaking about PSG," he said.

"From the start of the season, we want to win Ligue 1 and I hope our performances match our desire to win the title."
