AND THE winner is… cue the surdos samba drum roll.
Congratulations to Samantha Coe who will be taking her Best Football Friend (in this case her fiancé) on the Ultimate Football Experience!
Samantha was chosen from a host of hopefuls hoping to cheer on the Socceroos at Brazil 2014.
And while Samantha sambas her way through 22 days of football heaven, here’s just a reminder why this lucky Victorian from Keilor East has the rest of us so green (and gold) with envy.
Together with her hubby-to-be she’ll join the Green & Gold Army at their Rio base situated close to Copacabana beach – the heart and soul of Brazil.
From there they’ll be transferred to and from all three Socceroos group games and given priority access to the GGA pre-match drinks and enjoy on-field previews from the likes of John Kosmina.
Samantha has travelled to cheer on the Socceroos before but with her pending marriage decided she couldn’t afford to make Brazil. A good job she entered!
“Thank you again for this amazing opportunity,” she told au.fourfourtwo.com after hearing the news.
“We are both so excited and cannot wait to cheer on the Socceroos in Brazil!”
Aaron Zoanetti from the GGA has been busy putting the finishing touches to this football prize extravaganza and had these words for the lucky winner.
“We can't wait to welcome you and your BFF at Green & Gold Army headquarters next June - you are going to have an absolute blast,” Aaron said.
“Thanks to all who entered the Ultimate Football Experience competition - it was extremely difficult to pick a winner.
“To those who were unsuccessful, this doesn't need to be the end of your World Cup dreams. You can join our winners in the Samba nation by choosing any one of three Green & Gold Army packages.”

And just in case you needed any more inspiration to lose yourself in World Cup fever we thought we’d end with Samantha’s winning words:
“Scars still burn following being outed by Italy in 2006. Time to exact revenge. We have beaten Uruguay when it counted, we can do it again. Then to beat England at their own game, another sport to add to the rivalry. Tough draw, but big games bring out our best!”
We hope you’re right!
