BRISBANE coach Ange Postecoglou was left to rue wasted opportunities and defensive errors after Roar's 3-1 loss in Wellington.
Postecoglou was philosophical in defeat but clearly frustrated by his side's inability to take their chances in the first-half.
"I felt we created enough good opportunities to win the match. We just let ourselves down defensively again," said Postecoglou.
Front pairing Reinaldo and Sergio van Dijk both fired good first-half openings straight at former Roar stopper Liam Reddy, before the Nix ran away with the contest after the break.
Postecoglou added: "If you have a look at our whole season we've leaked goals at the worst time and we've done that again tonight.
"How do we fix that? We work harder and that's exactly what we'll be doing this week."
Brisbane will get their chance to improve on the result, which sees them drop out of the top six, when they host Newcastle Jets next Saturday.
