BRISBANE Roar coach Ange Postecoglou says his side lacked composure in front of goal after another wasteful performance saw them draw 1-1 with Sydney FC on Saturday night.
"Maybe we could have done better in front of goal, but it really was a frustrating night," Postecoglou said.
"To Sydney's credit they worked hard and played well, but we needed a little more composure in front of goal."
He added: "We didn't play well first half and I wasn't really happy the way we went about things.
"There was improvement in the second half and we had enough chances to win the game.
"You look at last 15 minutes we were out there trying to win the game and I certainly can't fault the effort of the players."
Brisbane's goalscorer Luke DeVere was disappointed the Roar could not produce their best.
"We made it difficult for ourselves, our work rate was off in the first half and giving up cheap goals doesn't help us," he said.
"It was a pleasing start but just disappointing the way we let them in the game."
Sydney FC skipper Terry McFlynn said the Sky Blues were content with a point.
"We need to start winning games, but we had a win last week and Brisbane are a top side, so I think a point here is good for us," he said.
McFlynn added: "They (Brisbane) try and move you out of position and I think they did that to us up at Suncorp Stadium and we learned a lot from that tonight.
"I'm proud of the boys, they put a great effort in tonight.
"The boys have been positive, the manager is a very positive person, he's kept us together. We've gone through a storm and hopefully we're coming through it now."
Sydney's next match is at home to Newcastle Jets on Sunday week, while Brisbane travel to Wellington in midweek.
