BOGOTA, March 15 (Copa America) - Columbia striker Juan Pablo Angel is worried that a lack of first-team opportunities with Aston Villa will harm his chances of featuring in this summer's Copa America.
The 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order following the January signings of John Carew and Ashley Young and has not played for Martin O'Neill's side since January 31.
With the Copa America kicking off in late June, Angel is concerned he may be overlooked by coach Jorge Luis Pinto.
"I haven't closed the doors to the national team," he said.
"However, I don't think I will play in the Copa America because I haven't played too much at my team.
"I think the players who have played a lot will be in the squad."
