Ex-Melbourne Victory defender Nick Ansell has joined Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit Tondela.
Tondela, who narrowly avoided relegation from the top flight last season, have confirmed the deal.
Ansell, 23, joins as a free agent having left Victory in May after seven years at the club.
The central defender becomes the second Australian to join a Portuguese top flight club this off-season, with Dylan McGowan signing on with Pacos Ferreira last month.

Ansell made 86 appearances in all competitions for Victory during his time of the club.
The Melbourne-born defender fell behind Alan Baro and James Donachie in the pecking order at Victory in 2016/17, making 15 starts.
Baro was released by Victory in the off-season, later joining Central Coast, along with full-back Daniel Georgievski who moved to Newcastle Jets.
Victory has signed Socceroos defender Rhys Williams, with Thomas Deng also returning after a loan with Jong PSV.
