Spain coach Luis Aragones may have been disappointed with his side's performance in their weekend win over Denmark, but he would probably settle for a similar result against Iceland on Wednesday.
Spain climbed up to fourth spot in their Euro 2008 qualifying group on six points after downing the Danes 2-1 at Real Madrid's Bernabeu stadium on Saturday.
Winning the match was vital for the Spanish following two defeats in their opening three qualifiers, but the manner of the home side's victory impressed nobody, least of all Aragones.
The veteran coach was upset that Spain made such hard work of winning the match, despite leading 2-0 at the break and playing against a Denmark side that had been reduced to 10 men as early as the 20th minute following Niclas Jansen's red card.
"It is not normal that we played so badly in the second half," Aragones said after the match. "I am happy to have won, but it is also true that our opponents caused us a lot of damage.
"We have had some nerves which you you cannot have in football, and we have had some luck."
Striker Fernando Morientes, who put Spain ahead in that match with his 27th international goal, believes that while the performance may not have been the best, picking up the win was the most crucial aspect.
"The best thing was the victory, it was very important," he said.
"It is certain that after their goal we have had much danger and the end of the game has been very worrying.
"The important thing is that we have taken a step forward, because this victory felt like it was essential if we are to qualify for the European Championships."
Morientes' Valencia team-mate David Villa, who scored Spain's second goal on the stroke of half-time, admits his side need to improve on their display against the Danes.
"We must do much more, because we no longer have any margin for error and now every game is going to be like a final," he said.
Iker Casillas, who was Spain's captain on his home ground at the Bernabeu, added: "This win has been a step forward and we must now not spoil that against Iceland on Wednesday.
"We have added the first three points, and now we have three more left to add in Mallorca.
"We have the chance to add six points out of six and, as we are playing at home, we need to take advantage of that."
Aragones will be able to call on two of his first-choice defenders for Wednesday's match at Mallorca's Ono Estadi, with Carles Puyol and Sergio Ramos both available after suspension.
Iceland are sixth in Group F with three points from four games, having lost each of their matches since beating Northern Ireland 3-0 in their opening fixture.
