Spain have enjoyed phenomenal success over the last few years, clinching the Euro 2008 title, climbing to the top of the FIFA world rankings for a period and winning all but three of their last 48 matches.

The Iberian nation have achieved all that by playing an attractive passing style of football, and coach Vicente Del Bosque will be demanding more of the same in South Africa.

Asked if he was concerned about the public expecting Spain to play good football during the tournament, Real Madrid defender Arbeloa said: "Hopefully there will be good football during the World Cup and not only ours. We will play our game, which fortunately usually produces good football that the fans like.

"The only responsibility we have to go for the victory. Spain go for victory by playing good football."

Spain begin their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on Wednesday.
