If you rate yourself as the master of virtual football gaming then head down to the FIFA Interactive World Cup Live Qualifier in Melbourne later this month for the opportunity to take on professional gamers.
FIFA, EA Sports and PlayStation are inviting Australia’s best FIFA players to take part in the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2009, the world’s largest football gaming tournament.
The FIWC09 Live Qualifier Event in Melbourne sees players from across the nation battle it out to win an all expenses paid trip to the FIWC09 International Grand Final event, and the chance to compete against the world’s top virtual players with the hope of being crowned FIFA Interactive World Player of the Year.
The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host the event, with mini-tournaments being played from 1.00pm on Friday 14th November and from 10.00am on Saturday 15th November. The official FIWC 09 Australian Live Qualifier Event will take place from 12.00pm sharp on Sunday 16th November with a special guest appearance by singer Brian McFadden to present the National Final.
Catch some professional players, and you might even get the chance to play against them in one of the special tournaments.
This year’s global winner will be rewarded with an exclusive invite to the FIFA World Player Gala, US$20,000 in cash and a brand new KIA ‘Soul’, with 2nd and 3rd place gamers winning US$5,000 and $1,000 respectively.
