The Sky Blues moved seven points clear at the top of the A-League with the away victory over Glory. Goals from Alex Brosque, Filip Holosko, Bobo and Bernie Ibini sealed the win.

Sydney FC have yet to be defeated in the league, but Arnold was unhappy with his side's defence early on. Adam Taggart opened the scoring in the 20th minute before the Sky Blues hit back.

"I wasn't happy with our defensive display, we were too open," Arnold admitted.

"But on the other hand I was pretty happy with the desperation in defence in the couple of occasions Perth had.

"Danny Vukovic to me is the best goalkeeper in the country and he made a magnificent save at 2-1 that opened the game up for us even more, and then we got the 3-1 and the 4-1. We did some good last-ditch defending, threw our bodies on the line. That's how hungry this team is."

Arnold said Sydney FC started the match slowly but adjusted and got on top.

"We started a little bit slow," the coach said.

"Perth obviously changed their formation to what we expected they'd play. They caught us a little bit on the hop until I could fix it and sort it out. But I have a huge belief in these players, in the boys that we have and the team, that the space was there.

"Once we won the ball it was about using that space then executing. Once I got them in at half-time, and we executed well, that's how the game panned out."

Arnold praised the contribution of Ibini, who added the Sky Blues' fourth goal in the 71st minute. The Socceroo winger continues to make an impressive return from injury.

"Berni's pushing me hard now," Arnold said.

"That's the second time in three weeks he's come on and done something like that, turn the game on its head. His pace is frigthening. There's not many players in Australia that can excite the fans like he can.

"I actually think he's stronger than when I had him at the Mariners and in his first year at Sydney, he's quicker. He's only going to get quicker. He will be the player in January to bring us home."
